Talking Playing House Season 2 and how they got Zach Woods for the show
Q: So you mentioned Zach Woods’ character as one of the funniest parts of the show, I was just wondering if you wrote that role with him in mind or how he got involved with the show?
Lennon: Yeah we did Zach and I were on our first improv team together. I think he was like 18 years old or 17. He used to take a bus in from Bucks County. And I just am obsessed with him, we both are, he’s one of the funniest people in the entire world.
Jessica: And there’s something about Lennon and Zach, they’re both real weirdos, skinny weirdos.
Lennon: We have an improv team called “Skinny business”
Jessica: We were like, wait, I gotta see those two as brother and sister and so we named the character Zach, again, not having asked him if he wanted to be in the show and then luckily, even though he’s been doing Silicon Valley we’ve been able to get him and he has a really funny two episodes this season… He’s also a national treasure, the skinniest one i’ve ever seen.
